DriveTest's directory is the best source for a centre's current address, hours, and available services. It also shows which road tests are offered, so you can choose a location that meets your needs.
Check these details before you travel
- Confirm the address, days, and hours for the location you plan to visit.
- Check that the centre offers the service you need. Some locations are part-time travel points and operate on a limited schedule.
- Review road-test availability if you are booking a G2 or full G test.
- Use the official site again on the day you travel because services and hours can change.
For a G1 knowledge test
All DriveTest centres offer G1 knowledge tests without an appointment. Knowledge tests are first-come, first-served, so arrive at least one hour before closing.
The test normally takes 20 to 30 minutes, has two or three sections, and requires at least 80% in each section. DriveTest gives the result immediately after you finish.

For a G2 or full G road test
Road tests require a booking. Use DriveTest's booking overview to learn what you need before you select a date and centre.
Check service disruptions
Weather, local events, and operational changes can affect a centre's service. Review the official disruption page before leaving home, especially if your appointment is time-sensitive.
If a scheduled road test is disrupted, DriveTest says not to cancel it online or by phone. Its team will cancel the appointment so you can reschedule without losing the prepaid fee.
Prepare before your visit
Use the official Ontario driver information for identification and application requirements, then practise visual G1 questions to find topics you want to review.
