What the $159.75 G1 package includes
The Ontario G1 licence package is paid when you apply at a DriveTest centre. It includes:
- the knowledge test;
- one G2 road test; and
- a five-year driver's licence.
This package covers the first steps of Ontario's graduated licensing process. Keep the official receipt and check the current rules before your visit.
If you need another knowledge-test attempt
Each additional knowledge-test attempt costs $16.00. That fee applies if you need to write the knowledge test again after an unsuccessful attempt.

All DriveTest centres offer G1 knowledge tests without an appointment. They are first-come, first-served, so confirm your local centre and arrive with enough time to finish before it closes.
